This article is about the community in western Jefferson County. For other uses, see Oak Grove (disambiguation).

Oak Grove is a small community at the intersection of Lock 17 Road and Camp Oliver Road, south of Bankhead Lake and west of Hueytown in western Jefferson County. The Oak Grove Mine, just south of town, is a major employer in the area.

The community is the home of the Jefferson County Schools' Oak Grove Elementary School and Oak Grove High School, both of which were destroyed by an F5 tornado which struck in April 1998. They were replaced by new schools just north of the community on Toadvine Road. Other community institutions include Oak Grove First Baptist Church, Oak Grove Second Church, and Ezra Baptist Church. The community is served by the Oak Grove Fire Station and a substation of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
