Oneonta United Methodist Community

Oneonta United Methodist Community is a gathering of United Methodists who are are seeking to create a new United Methodist church in Oneonta. It was formed after the majority of Lester Memorial United Methodist Church voted to leave the United Methodist Church in late 2022. The community has been meeting in a variety of locations in Oneonta as they work through the steps to be chartered as an official United Methodist church by the North Alabama Conference.

As of January 2023 there were about 75 people participating in the community. The community was meeting in The Makers art gallery.
