Paws Across the Parkway

Paws Across the Parkway is an annual festival held in north-east Birmingham. Sponsored by the Southern Regional Business Council, the festival was held the last Saturday in September on Parkway East in Roebuck from its beginning in 2006 to 2008, and moved to the Birmingham Race Course for May 2009. Billed as a "Celebration of Eastern Birmingham", the festival centers on pets, and features pet-centered exhibitions and competitions, along with food, craft vendors and live music.

2009

In 2009 the festival was held at the Birmingham Race Course on May 23.

2008

The 3rd annual festival was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

2007

The 2nd annual festival was held on September 29 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was dedicated to the memory of Jerry O. Yarley.

2006

The first festival was held on September 30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Parkway Christian Fellowship. It also featured a golf tournament on September 29 at the Roebuck Golf Course.
