Patricia Simpson

Patricia Kendrick Simpson (born c. 1956) is the principal of Edgewood Elementary School in Homewood.

Biography

Simpson is the youngest of five children and only daughter born to Johnny and Lee Bell Kendrick. Her brothers were all significantly older and one, Eddie Kendricks, became a founding member of The Temptations. Simpson grew up in Ensley and wanted to become a teacher since childhood.

Simpson joined Homewood City Schools around 1979. She became principal of Edgewood Elementary in 2007.

Simpson currently lives in Trussville with her husband, Herman Simpson. The two married about 1977 and have two sons, Jason and Jarod.
