Pinson City Hall is located at 4410 Main Street in Pinson. In September 2007 the Pinson City Council agreed to spend $550,000 from the city's share of the Alabama Trust Fund to purchase the 13,000 square foot medical office building owned by Carraway Hospital which had been vacant since 2001.

The building underwent extensive renovation to create chamber facitilies. Previously, city council meetings were held at the city-owned Pinson Civitan Building at 6230 Dry Creek Lane, which served as a temporary City Hall after the city was incorporated in 2004. The facility also serves as the city's police station, where two Jefferson County Sheriff's Department deputies, under contract to the city, are based.

A digital sign on the city's property fronting Pinson Boulevard was added to the complex in 2009.

In 2011, the city was accepted into the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, paving the way for the Pinson Public Library to be built in the rear portion of the city hall building along Pinson Boulevard, which opened that October.
