Preptix is a Birmingham-based e-ticket website which sells tickets to high school sports games. Jay Barker and Patrick Noles began the process of setting up the site in 2012, and officially launched in February 2014 with 15 schools, including Hewitt-Trussville, Hoover, Homewood, Mountain Brook and Spain Park, as well as the AHSAA for state playoffs. The site is free for schools to use, and can be used for any general admission event, with Preptix collecting a small processing fee. Tickets can be printed at home, or a barcode can be presented on a smartphone at the gate for admission.

In 2016 Preptix was acquired by Huddle of Alpharetta, Georgia. Barker and Noles accepted leadership positions with that company, which was already supplying ticketing services to 9,000 schools in 18 states along with live streaming and data services.
