Riverpoint building
The Riverpoint building at 3680 Grandview Parkway was a 66,000 square foot office building built in 1997 as part of the HealthSouth headquarters in the Cahaba Center at Grandview complex off U. S. Highway 280 and was demolished in 2015 as part of the Grandview Medical Center construction.
Riverpoint was built in 1997 as part of the HealthSouth corporate headquarters campus. The building was sold, as part of the campus, in March 2008 to the Daniel Corporation. During negotiations, Daniel entered into an agreement with Nexity Bank to sell the Riverpoint building along with 4.2 acres to the bank for their new headquarters. In 2011 Nexity was closed by the FDIC and its assets sold to AloStar Bank of Commerce.
In January 2015 it was announced that Alostar had sold the Riverpoint building to what was then known as Trinity Medical Center for $8 million. Demolition began that September to make way for planned professional buildings to sit adjacent to the hospital.
