Rod Carter

Rod Carter (born c. 1969 in Tallahassee , Florida) was a reporter for WVTM (NBC 13) from 1996 to 2000 and co-anchor of that station's "Today in Alabama" and "NBC 13 Midday" programs from 2007 to 2010.

Carter graduated from Florida A&M University in 1990. He worked at stations in Augusta, Georgia and Gainesville and Tallahassee, Florida before coming to Birmingham. In 2000 he left to join the staff at WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa, Florida before coming back to WVTM in 2007. He returned to WFLA to replace Gayle Guyardo as morning news anchor in 2010.

Carter is a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church in Tampa and attended 6th Avenue Baptist Church while in Birmingham.
