Schaeffer Eye Center was a chain of optometry clinics and eyewear showrooms owned by Jack Schaeffer, who began practicing as an optometrist in 1980.

The company, founded in 1986, had 18 Alabama locations and was headquartered at 1686 Montgomery Highway in Hoover. The chain was known for monthly events featuring specific eyewear brands, and for sponsoring the Schaeffer Eye Center Crawfish Boil music festival each Spring.

In November 2017 Schaeffer sold the business to MyEyeDr of Vienna, Virginia. He, his son Mark, daughter Brooke Kaplan, and son-in-law Justin Kaplan all joined the new business.
