Shepherd Center East is a senior citizens activity center located at 118 84th Street North, northeast of East Lake Park in the East Lake neighborhood. The program was founded as part of the Shepherd Centers of America and has been operated since 1984 by Positive Maturity. Its executive director is Mackie Horowitz.

Shepherd Center offers day-time activities such as games, quilting, choral singing and line dancing. The center also offers field trips, free health screenings, and educational classes. Hot lunches are served daily, and Shepherd Center East is one of the largest providers of "Meals on Wheels" services in the city.

The center was damaged by flooding on Christmas Day, 2015. Mold damage delayed re-opening until Spring of 2016. During the intervening period, programs were moved to the Don Hawkins Recreation Center and meals were served from East Lake United Methodist Church.
