Southern National Bank was a former bank with offices at 2020 5th Avenue North.
The bank merged into the newly-formed Exchange National Bank of Birmingham after it was declared insolvent in 1979 by federal authorities. The Exchange National Bank was bought in 1982 by Bobby Lowder and became Colonial Bank.
