The St Clair County Library was a public library affiliated with the St Clair County Library System, and located at 139 5th Avenue in Ashville. Judy Douglas was the last library director. The library housed 14,195 volumes.

The city of Ashville separated its Ashville Public Library from the county system in October 2017. The St Clair County Commission decided to cut funding to the remaining "Headquarters" library of its county system at the same time. The library's collection was divided between the remaining two branches, the Ragland Public Library and the Steele Public Library.
