Steel City Urbex is a photography collective which specializes in "urban exploration" of abandoned sites in the Birmingham District. It was co-founded by Jake Evans and Justin Self and currently has nine members, including Matt Glasscock, Josh Box, Niki Lewis, Michael Stephenson and Brett Bellomy.

The group has documented numerous sites, including abandoned building and industrial plants, as well as mines and at least one mausoleum, Bessemer's Memorial Mound, for which they attracted significant publicity. Members discover sites to explore on their own or through word of mouth, and rarely get formal permission. In order to avoid major trouble for their trespasses, they adhere to a basic code of conduct not to damage or steal what they find.
