Stephen Smith Fine Art is a commercial art gallery on the former Fairfield Theater building at 5104 Gary Avenue in Fairfield. It was opened in 2016 by Stephen Smith. Paul Barrett was the gallery's founding director and chief curator from May 2016 through July 2018. The 10,000 square foot gallery and studio exhibited contemporary international, national and local artists with a focus on social issues.

The reception for In the Belly of the Beast: Second Degree featured an iron pour on-site conducted by Sloss Metal Arts. A portion of proceeds from both cast-metal exhibitions benefited Sloss Metal Arts. Holloway also organized the artist talk titled, Women of Metal, featuring artists Rachel Kidd, Morgan Lugo, and Jennifer Torres for a discussion of women who work with cast-metal, moderated by artist Sarah Caroline Padgett on Jun.30, 2018.

Barrett left the gallery to focus on independent curatorial projects following In the Belly of the Beast: Second Degree.
