Steppers & Walkers

Steppers & Walkers is a former restaurant, dance club and lounge which was located at 2223 4th Avenue North in the former Ruby House Chinese buffet adjacent to the 2006 Birmingham News building. The club specialized in Chicago-style "Steppin'" and offered instruction for all skill levels as well as open dance floors in the evenings. Special events for other ballroom styles were planned, accompanied by themed dinner menus.

The club's "Bentley Room" was available for private parties and meetings.

The club was owned by Michael Kimble. The chef was George Luke and dance instructors included Ronda Chandler and Ronnie Burnett.
