Steve Hudson

Steve Hudson (born December 2, 1958 in Jasper) is a golfer and financial adviser.

Hudson is the son of long-time Musgrove Country Club professional Travis Hudson. He and his brother, Tab, grew up on the course and both played for the Alabama Crimson Tide golf team.

Steve was a member of Alabama's first Southeastern Conference championship team in 1979. That same year he played in the U.S. Amateur Championship. He earned a bachelor's degree in public relations and began playing professionally in 1981. He returned to amateur status in 1987.

Hudson was named "Player of the Year" by the Alabama Golf Association three times, and "Senior Player of the Year" once. He is a two-time champion of the AGA State Mid-Amateur Championship, and of the AGA State Senior Championship. He won the 2015 Golfweek Senior National Championship by an 11-shot margin. As a member of the national Society of Seniors he was the points leader for 2017.

Hudson has been inducted into the Birmingham Golf Association Hall of Fame, and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.

Hudson is the CEO of Hudson & Windle Private Wealth at 1400 Urban Center Drive in Liberty Park.
