Sword of Trust is a 2019 comedy feature film directed by Lynn Shelton and starring Marc Maron, Michaela Watkins, Jillian Bell, and Jon Bass. The film, which centers around four people's efforts to sell a sword reputed to be able to "prove" that the South won the Civil War, employs primarily improvised dialog around a story co-written by Shelton and Mike O'Brien.

It was produced by Forager Films and filmed primarily in Birmingham and Argo. Delta Pawn in Lakeview was used as a primary set. Shelton had originally considered Kentucky as the setting for the film, but Ted Speaker convinced her to bring the production to Birmingham. Alabaster native Virginia Newcomb worked on the project as a producer. Local actors like Al Elliott appear in the film, and many crew members for the 12-day shoot were hired locally.

Maron composed and performed the songs on the film's soundtrack himself. Sword of Trust premiered at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas on March 8, 2019, then was picked up for distribution by IFC Films and released to theaters on July 19, 2019. It was also screened at the 2019 Sidewalk Film Festival.
