Talk:1920 International Balloon Race

• IBC mentions 11 competitors in their recap, but notes that the last four finishers are not recorded in any official results. Andrus' map shows the landing locations of 1-7, with the French balloon the only one shown landing in Illinois. James Baggett's "timepiece" article in September 2006's Birmingham magazine refers to a balloon named Birmingham which "crashed in Illinois", and could be one of the four unaccounted for in the results. The two photographs I have seen do not show conclusively the presence of more than 7 balloons at launch. I expect contemporary newspaper coverage would be the best source for further clarification. --Dystopos 09:31, 5 November 2006 (PST)
