Questionable articles

• I am going through the redlinks to see which ones need to be taken off. If they played for or coached at Alabama or Auburn, I am keeping them. If they didn't contribute to those two schools, or weren't born in the B'ham Metro area, or didn't live here, then I am taking their name off of the list potential articles. That includes Jesse Owens, who is redlinked here twice but no where else in BhamWiki. He was born in Lawrence County and grew up in the Decatur metro area, which is its own MSA and not part of the Bham-Hoover-Cullman combined MSA that I personally go by. --Wheresdib 06:53, 30 January 2008 (PST)

• The News announced the class of 2010 today [1]. I guess I'll post it here until I can find the 2009 class:
  • Larry Blakeney (football) Gordo native, player at AU, coach at AU and Troy
  • Charley Hannah (football) Albertville native, played at Ark. & Oakland Raiders
  • John Mitchell (football), Mobile native, played at UA, NFL coach
  • Jimmy Key (baseball), Huntsville native, pitched at Clemson & Toronto Blue Jays
  • Lee May (baseball), Birmingham native, played at MIles and Cincinnati Reds
  • Steve Bolt (track), Indiana native, ran at UA
  • Tommy Brooker (football), Demopolis native, played at UA and KC Chiefs
  • Janelle Kirtley Godfrey (water skiing), Birmingham native
