Nixon executive order

This entry formerly indicated that, "the announcement followed an executive order from President Richard Nixon mandating that all new federal offices be constructed in urban areas as a bolster against urban blight.". I have not been able to confirm that the SSA's dealings with Engel were influenced by any such order. The most relevant Executive Order appears to be No. 11512, signed in February 1970 (and superseded by Carter's Executive Order No. 12072 in 1978), but that doesn't quite fit the timeline. It's possible that Moynihan's Council on Urban Affairs was already pressuring federal agencies to consider urban sites, but I don't know of a specific intervention regarding the Terminal Station. --Dystopos (talk) 07:49, 10 December 2019 (PST)
