Current Wikipedia article

After I changed the tense of our article, I looked up the Wikipedia article, and apparently Belk sold the name to BonTon and there are still 5 Parisian stores open in Michigan. I am too tired to rewrite this article, but the WP article gives dates as to when Belk converted the old stores etc, so I wanted to write this up before I left for the day. --Wheresdib 14:56, 2 January 2008 (PST)

Non-Birmingham stores

Do we really care about listing all the non-Birmingham stores bought by Belk? I was thinking of leaving the list of those in Alabama, but reducing the rest to just "* State (X locations)". Thoughts? --Lkseitz 13:25, 28 December 2009 (PST)

    • That sounds nice. --Dystopos 17:57, 28 December 2009 (PST)

Evidence that "1937" store was in place as early as 1934

I discovered a book that the Birmingham Library has now put online that was published in 1934 about the Loveman's fire to benefit the Birmingham Fireman's Relief Organization.

There are many advertisements within the book, including one on page 36 worded "Compliments of the PARISIAN 1924 Second Avenue. This would seem to indicate Parisian moved at least 3 years earlier than previously thought.
