Christmas decorations

Regarding the Christmas decorations, I think there's a step missing in the history. It could be faulty memory, but I swear I remember a time when two opposing sides (east & west, IIRC) had trees while the other two were a stocking and a wreath. It was a big deal to me as a child, because when we went to pick up my father from work, I only got to see the south and east sides. It was rare for me to see the north and west sides. This isn't really important, but there it is for what it's worth. --Lkseitz 10:40, 12 October 2006 (PDT)

  • I think you are right. I grew up going from Hueytown to Cahaba Heights every Christmas via I-65 in the late 1970s and early 1980s, so I would see the North and West sides on the way there, and the South and West sides on the way home. I remember Christmas trees and the wreath. The article doesn't give an exact timeline as to when the changes were made though. --Wheresdib 10:55, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
