  • Are you sure the Walsh article is talking about the Ruby Tuesday site? The "Studio Arts building" is where Johnny Rocket's used to be. --Dystopos 10:07, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
    • Yes, the article goes as follows, "The Highland Avenue lot has been vacant since 1988 when a Shop-A-Snak Food Mart and Connie's Famous Foods were torn down to make room for a planned $40 million office and retail tower." It talks both about the Ruby Tuesday's and the Studio Arts building -- Patriarca12
      • I can vouch that back in the '80s there was a Shop-A-Snak on the corner now occupied by Ruby Tuesday. I remember playing Q*bert there. --Lkseitz 10:29, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
      • I can also vouch that both lots were empty in the fall of 1991. The lot where the Studio Arts building is located now was an outdoor stage, because I performed on it with a student theatre group from Montevallo sometime around Halloween that year. We parked on the vacant lot a block away, where Ruby Tuesday's is now. Walsh's article seems to be talking about both lots since the new Studio Arts building was also built around the same time as Ruby Tuesday's. --Wheresdib 11:02, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
