Vestavia location

  • I believe that the Vestavia Hills store was inside the Sears Mall (now the Vestavia City Center), but I'm not completely sure. Seems like there was a Buster Brown up at the strip near where Woolworth's used to be, but I might have them switched. --Dystopos 09:28, 2 February 2007 (PST)
  • Indeed it was, according to one of my source articles. I just couldn't remember the name of the mall back then. (The article just said "what is now Vestavia City Center.") Some reseach shows that Vestavia Centers Mall was the name back in 1995. Did it have another name before that? I went there many a time, but not as frequently as other malls in the area, so my memory is vague on it. --Lkseitz 10:04, 2 February 2007 (PST)
  • It was called Vestavia Shopping Center[1]. --Wheresdib 10:37, 2 February 2007 (PST)
  • I grew up about 6 blocks from it and we always called it the Sears Mall. I would think the Vestavia Shopping Center was the strip that had Woolworth and Kessler's. We could go with "Vestavia Mall" until we uncover something more specific. --Dystopos 11:43, 2 February 2007 (PST)
  • Check out the ad for Kessler's about halfway down the page [2] and it does call itself Vestavia Shopping Center. So once again Dystopos is right. I'll keep digging for the real name of the Sear's mall. --Wheresdib 07:48, 8 February 2007 (PST)
