- Not sure when he was first elected. We had 1972, but the 1971 Alabama Official and Statistical Register lists him as Mayor. (link) --Dystopos (talk) 13:56, 19 October 2017 (PDT)
- Update. It seems that the publication regularly peers into the future, as it listed Majors Nordan as Mayor of Hueytown (inc. 1960) in its 1959 edition. --Dystopos (talk) 10:14, 20 October 2017 (PDT)
- I confirmed in the "This is Gardendale" history book, written in 1976, that Bill Noble became Mayor in 1972. Also updated the text a little bit on some of the mayors preceding Noble. Robert Matthews (talk) 18:14, 21 October 2017 (PDT)
