Mascot and colors

Is there a way to make these fields optional? Maybe make a line that says "Sports (league, mascot, colors)" which would be either "N/A" or "6A Region 6, Spartans, green and gold". Or something else clean and simple that doesn't make elementary schools look like they're using the wrong template. --Dystopos 20:40, 27 February 2008 (PST)

I never really understood this system, and it appears to no longer be in use. Can we retire those fields and add "feeds from" and "feeds to" slots? ("from" would need to handle multiple links). --Dystopos (talk) 12:58, 18 December 2017 (PST)
- I never understood the system either, but you seemed keen on noting it, so I included it. I'm not sure what happens to those fields when they're still used in the call, but not in the template. I'd guess they're ignored, but I guess we'll find out. Since "from" needs multiple links, the caller will have to manually create all the links.
