The Todd-Witte Dry Goods Co. was organized in November 1922 by Harry Todd, Edward Bond and Ernest Bliss. It was located in the Todd-Witte Building at 2216-2218 1st Avenue North in downtown Birmingham.

Bond was made president of the company in the 1930s. George Shurbet, who began working for the company as a salesman in 1933, became president by 1954. At that time E. Hofford Todd was vice-president and Harry Todd's widow, the former Ann Bradford, was secretary of the company.

The company was acquired by Pizitz in 1980.
