The UAB Police & Public Safety Headquarters is a two-story, 28,000-square-foot building which houses the UAB Police & Public Safety Department, a 120-person force which handles law enforcement and physical security at the UAB campus and UAB Medical Center. Ground was broken for the $8.2 million facility at 1117 14th Street South on April 13, 2017, and the completed building was dedicated on August 8, 2018.

TurnerBatson Architects designed the building, which was constructed by Wyatt General Contractors.

The building includes offices, records and evidence storage, a meeting room, a weight room, locker rooms, an emergency call center and a break room on the ground floor. The call center is designed as a storm shelter to allow uninterrupted emergency services in the event of severe weather. The upper floor houses offices for senior staff along with a conference room and a training classroom
