Walker's Gap is a natural pass in Red Mountain between Birmingham's Glen Iris neighborhood and Homewood. The route through the gap is carried by Green Springs Highway.

On November 8, 1949 metal signs donated by engineer Erskine Ramsay were installed on the roadway cut to highlight the exposed iron ore seam.
