Wayne Taylor

Wayne Taylor (born October 27, 1958 in Chalkville) is part-owner of a wholesale building supplier and president of the Trussville City Council.

Taylor graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School. He earned a degree from Jefferson State Community College in 1980 and attended classes at UAB between 1980 and 1984. He was elected to the Trussville City Council in 1996.

In 2010, Taylor qualified as one of five candidates in the Republican primary to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 4 seat left open when four-term incumbent and Commission President Bettye Fine Collins decided not to run for re-election.
