William Parish

William Dana Parish (born May 29, 1862 in Rhode Island; died February 15, 1949 in San Diego, California) was an artist.

Parish studied at Académie Julian in Paris and also claimed training from William Merritt Chase and Benjamin Constant. He advertised as a portraitist and landscape artist in Birmingham in the 1890s, keeping a studio on the 3rd floor, above Colby & Roll, at 2023 1st Avenue North.

Parish later moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he kept a home studio during the 1920s and 30s. In 1937 he relocated to San Diego where he remained until his death.
