Willie Clark

Willie Clark Jr (born c. 1919) is a retired railroad worker and long-time community volunteer.

Clark attended Scott Elementary School in Pratt City and graduated from Industrial High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged with the rank of sergeant. Afterword he went to work for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad (now CSX), retiring in 1976 after thirty years.

Clark has volunteered at South Hampton Elementary School, the Boy Scouts of America, the Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity, and the Pratt City Civic League. In 2013 he was honored by the Central Pratt Neighborhood Association for his lifetime of service. The 600 block of 6th Place Pratt City was dedicated in his honor.

Clark and his wife, the former Evelyn Gilbert, had three children.
