Willie Hardley Jr is a personal trainer, chaplain, and long-time member of the Fairfield City Council.

George was raised in Birmingham and Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1973 at the Birmingham-Easonian Baptist Bible College and a master's degree in 1988 from Berean Christian College. He was certified as a clinical chaplain at Carraway Methodist Hospital and has worked at Cooper Green Hospital and the Jefferson County Rehabilitation Center. He also served as Director of Pastorial Care and Counseling Services for deputies, employees and inmates of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. He also spent 16 years in the Fairfield City Council.

In 2010 Hardley became one of 14 candidates to qualify for a special election to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 1 seat left vacant when William Bell became Mayor of Birmingham.
