Wize (born January 22, 2018) is one of two Hingeback tortoises hatched at the Birmingham Zoo on that day. The other is Les. The pair were the first births at the zoo in 2018.
Hingeback tortoises are an endangered species, so the successful hatching was heralded as a major accomplishment in conserving them.
