St Michael's Catholic Cemetery in 1993

St Michael's Catholic Cemetery, originally Brookside Catholic Cemetery is a small cemetery in Brookside. It was founded in 1901 by the mission originally known as SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.

The one-acre property was purchased from the Sloss-Sheffield Steel & Iron Company on May 31. Mike Ziak, who died on September 1 of that year, was the first burial.
