The 2010 Alabama Crimson Tide football team, reigning National Champions, entered the season as the #1 ranked team in the Associated Press poll. The season began without two key players: Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Mark Ingram Jr sat out with a knee injury and defensive back Marcel Dareus served a two-game suspension.
