The 2010 Birmingham Barons was the 25th Birmingham Barons team to play for the Chicago White Sox organization in the AA Southern League, the 23rd to play at Regions Park in Hoover, the fourth to take the field under the ownership of Don Logan and his sons, and the second to be managed by Ever Magallanes.

Roster

Players who appeared with the 2010 Barons that have also appeared in the Major Leagues include Buck Coats, Fernando Cortez, Gregory Infante, Brent Morel and Jhonny Nunez.

Results

The team finished last in the Southern League's South Division with a 53-87 record (0.379 and 28 games behind Jacksonville). The Barons allowed 658 runs (5th in the SL) to their own 570 runs scored (worst in the league). Total attendance for the year was 275,887 (2nd in the league behind Jacksonville).

The Barons were 5th in the league in team batting average (.261) and 7th in total bases (1,735). Barons pitchers, however, recorded only 905 strikeouts (worst in the league) and had a team earned run average of 4.28 (8th in the SL). The Barons shared the league lead with Montgomery in fielding percentage, at 0.976, and committed only 126 errors.

The Barons finished the first half of the season with a record of 24-46 (.343) and in last place in the Southern League South Division, 16 games behind Jacksonville.
