The 2014 Alabaster plane crash was a non-fatal aviation accident that occurred in a backyard at 911 10th Street SW in Alabaster on the afternoon of January 1, 2014.

The Bellanca 17-30A reportedly left from the Bessemer Airport en route to the Shleby County Airport 11 miles away. It crashed through trees before settling in Lee McBride's back yard. The pilot, Anthony Elom of Pleasant Grove, was injured, but recovered.

The National Transportation Safety Board determined that Elom failed to switch to the right main fuel tank when the left tank ran dry, causing the engine to stall.
