The December 2015 Birmingham tornado was an EF-2 tornado that caused injuries to five people and damaged numerous structures and vehicles in Southwest Birmingham on Christmas Day, 2015.

The early evening storm cell which spawned the tornado had earlier spawned an EF-0 tornado that did spotty damage in the form of snapped trees near Coaling before dissipating. The cell then strengthened near Lipscomb, spawning the EF-2 tornado which touched down near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue Southwest and 50th Street Southwest. Although the tornado's path skirted the Midfield city limit, no serious damage was reported in that suburb.

According to preliminary reports, seventy-two buildings were damaged, including Mount Olive Full Gospel Church. The storm also knocked down power lines and turned over cars and trucks, blocking streets and roadways.
