The 2018 UAB Blazers played the 26th season of football for UAB, their 20th in Division I-A, and their 17th as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached by Bill Clark, in his third season as head coach, not including two years that the program was on hiatus. The 2018 season saw Clark's Blazers improve to 10-3, earning the Conference Championship and an invitation to the Boca Raton Bowl.

The team was led by sophomore running back Spencer Brown and senior quarterback A. J. Erdely. Other standouts included senior tight end Logan Scott, senior linebacker Craig Kanyangarara, and junior center Lee Dufour.

  • August 30: Defeated Savannah State 52-0 at Legion Field.
  • September 8: Lost to Coastal Carolina 24-47 in Conway, South Carolina.
  • September 15: Defeated Tulane 31–24 at Legion Field.
  • September 29: Defeated North Carolina-Charlotte 28-7 at Legion Field.
  • October 6: Defeated Louisiana Tech 28-7 in Ruston, Louisiana.
  • October 13: Defeated Rice 42-0 in Houston, Texas.
  • October 20: Defeated North Texas 29-21 at Legion Field.
  • October 27: Defeated UTEP 19-0 in El Paso, Texas.
  • November 3: Defeated Texas-San Antonio 52-3 at Legion Field.
  • November 10: Defeated Southern Miss 26-23 in overtime at Legion Field.
  • November 17: Lost to Texas A&M 20-41 in College Station, Texas.
  • November 24: Lost to Middle Tennessee 3-27 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
  • December 2: Defeated Middle Tennessee 27-25 in the Conference USA Championship Game in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
  • December 18: vs. Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton Bowl in Boca Raton, Florida.
