The 2021 UAB Blazers played the 29th season of football for UAB, their 23rd in Division I-A, and their 20th as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached by Bill Clark, in his 6th season as head coach, not including two years that the program was on hiatus. This was the Blazers' first season playing at Protective Stadium at the BJCC rather than at Legion Field.

  • September 1: defeated Jacksonville State Gamecocks 31-0 at the Crampton Bowl in Montgomery
  • September 11: lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 7-56 in Athens, Georgia
  • September 18: defeated the North Texas Mean Green 40-6 in Denton, Texas
  • September 25: defeated the Tulane Green Wave 28-21 in New Orleans, Louisiana
  • October 2: lost to the Liberty Flames 12-36 before 37,167 fans at Protective Stadium
  • October 9: defeated the Florida-Atlantic Owls 31-14 before 25,191 fans at Protective Stadium
  • October 16: defeated the Southern Miss Golden Eagles 34-0 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
  • October 23: lost to the Rice Owls 24-30 before 24,845 fans at Protective Stadium
  • November 6: defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 52-38 before 21,261 fans at Protective Stadium
  • November 13: defeated the Marshall Thundering Herd 21-14 in Huntingdon, West Virginia
  • November 20: lost to the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners 31-34 in San Antonio, Texas
  • November 26: defeated the Texas-El Paso Miners 42-25 before 19,683 fans at Protective Stadium
  • December 18: defeated the Brigham Young Cougars 31-28 in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana
