Nichel graduated from Hueytown High School in 2010 and studied graphic arts and communications at Lawson State Community College. She was then invited to exhibit a selection of paintings at the WACO Theater Center in North Hollywood, California.

In 2021 A. Nichel was commissioned by TaMarcus Pruitt to paint a mural featuring portraits of Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant, and Chadwick Boseman on the outside wall of his store, The Kloset, at 5200 Valley Road in Fairfield.
