Barbara Barker

Barbara Barker (born 1937; died January 13, 2022) was the wife of Frank Barker, founding pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

She studied musical theater at Northwestern University and danced with a professional company in Chicago. She founded the Briarwood Ballet in 1980. The Barbara B. Barker Fine Arts Center at Briarwood High School is named after her.

She and her husband, Frank, had three children; Anita, Frank Barker, III, and Peggy.
