Ziggies
- Ziggies, a pizza and sandwich place, I believe, on 7th Ave, sort of across the street from Waite's Bakery in a converted gas station. Was in business to my knowledge from the early '70s until at least about 1977 when I left Birmingham. I believe it was razed for the UAB expansion of the late '70s or early '80s.--ExPat 11:28, 8 April 2010 (PST)
- It might have been catercorner to Waite's. That block was bought up in the 1980s for construction of the Kirklin Clinic. The service station across 21st is still operating. Across 7th is an Arby's. --Dystopos 11:08, 8 April 2010 (PDT)
