The Center Point Big Spring Carnival Extravaganza is an annual event held in April in the parking lot of the Cathedral of the Cross A. O. H. Church of God at 1480 Center Point Parkway.

The event, which has been held annually since 2007, is organized by Lashunda Scales' Happy Dayz along with PrimeTime Amusements of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to carnival-style rides and midway games, the event promotes a "stop the violence" message.

In 2017 a shooting occurred on a Saturday evening just outside the carnival while approximately 900 people were present. Three teenagers and an infant were injured by gunfire and another woman was injured by a fall as crowds fled the shooting. Five suspects were taken into custody overnight. Laeric Kejuandre Bailey was charged as the shooter. In November 2019 Bailey was also charged with capital murder for the gunshot death of Fredrick Asher.
