Central Steel Service is a supplier of weathering, high-strength and abrasion-resistant steel. The company was founded in January 1981, and is located at 2764 Welborn Street, off of Pelham Parkway (U.S. Highway 31) behind the Shelby Mart shopping center in Pelham.

Central Steel got its start as a sister firm to Process Equipment, furnishing Cor-Ten (weathering) steel for use in its pollution control products. In 2003 the company was bought by Keith Woods, who has extended its product line, added limited fabrication capabilities, and expanded the company's sales territory.

The company's offices adjoining their plant and warehouse were damaged in a fire in 2017. Central Steel constructed a new 2-story 8,000 square-foot office building on the same site as a showcase for its products. The building is clad with weathering steel panels and embellished with brise-soleils, planters, screen walls, stairs and signage which also utilize weathering steel. The building was designed by Birchfield Penuel & Associates, and built by Mooney Construction.
