Chordus

Chordus, Inc. is a privately-held wholesale office furniture distributor based at 273 Cahaba Valley Parkway in Pelham. It is the parent of the Office Furniture USA retail chain with 138 locations. Before 2013 the company operated distribution centers in Pelham; Ontario, California; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; and Tyler, Texas.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2013 and made plans to close its Pennsylvania and California distribution centers.
