Cunningham Wilson

Cunningham Wilson (born October 12.1860 on a farm near present-day Roebuck Springs; died June 15, 1949) was a prominent physician and a founding member of Highlands United Methodist Church.

Wilson was the son of James Walker Wilson and Frances S. "Franny" Hamilton Wilson. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1884, then established a medical practice in Birmingham in 1886.

Wilson was the first chief of surgery at St Vincent's Hospital, beginning when the hospital was housed in the residence of Henry Debardeleben.

Wilson is buried in a family plot at Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
