Daniel Davis (born May 1, 1798 in Pendleton District, South Carolina; died July 12, 1869 in Jefferson County) was a physician and early settler of Jones Valley.

Davis was the son of Edward Davis. He moved to Alabama in 1818 and settled in Tuscaloosa County in 1821, later moving to a large, white house in Jefferson County. He married the former Lanie Brownlee of Abbeville District, South Carolina and had eleven children.

Matthew Duffee and his family stayed with the Davises on their trips between Tuscaloosa and Blount Springs in the 1850s.
