DG

dg (formerly Daniel George) is a fine dining restaurant located at 2837 Culver Road in Mountain Brook Village. The restaurant was opened on August 3, 2000 by chefs Daniel Briggs and George McMillan III.

dg's menu changes daily and features American cuisine, including seafood, meat and game. After almost 10 years as a white tablecloth dinner-only establishment tucked away on a side street which has little to no businesses opened at night, McMillan and Briggs began serving lunch Mondays through Fridays on January 18, 2010. The lunch menu features a limited menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and a small selection of entrees.

Briggs bought out McMillan in 2011.
